Starlight Play in Hospital Week, Art Project

We have signed up to take part in Starlight Children’s Foundation, Play in Hospital Week Art Project. Play in Hospital Week is an important time for Starlight as it is an opportunity for them to highlight the importance of play and the people within healthcare settings who help make play a priority.
This year the Health Play Champions they work with have asked them to help brighten their walls with art to explain why play is so important to young people. This is where our pupils will come in to help.

The ask is simple;

  1. Access the Starlight Dropbox and print out the templates: Play in Hospital Week Templates and Assembly Pack
  2. Pupils can use words or pictures to answer the prompts on the templates.
    Pupils are free to express the answer in whichever way works for them.
  3. Laminate each piece of work and add a hole to the top corners so you can add string to turn the artwork into bunting.
    Healthcare settings need all artwork to be laminated so they can wipe them down. This is an important step for us to make sure the work can be used.
  4. Send your art to the Starlight office using our Freepost address by August 1st, 2023, so they can be included in our special Play in Hospital Week boxes. Freepost RTTE-BHJJ-JCLZ, Starlight Children's Foundation, Third Floor, 227 Shepherds Bush Road, LONDON, W6 7AU

That’s it. – that is how our pupils at Kemnal Technology College can make a real difference this Play in Hospital Week.

We look forward to seeing all the wonderful artwork!
