Sixth Form Partnership

The Cleeve Park School and Kemnal Technology College Sixth Form Partnership offers a wide variety of courses that are tailor made to meet the needs of all our students. We ensure that each student has access to first class information and guidance in order that the academic pathway chosen is the one best suited to their abilities, talents and interests. Our two schools are at the centre of the TKAT regional hub called TKAT City where we have a number of partnerships developing with our sister schools, including work experience and organising events such as The TKAT City Arts Festival and Sporting events such as the TKAT Games.

Our students are supported and inspired to achieve by passionate and committed teaching and support staff. We ensure the monitoring and tracking of our students is frequent, rigorous and effective. Specific targets for improvement are set and explained thoroughly so that they are fully understood by our students. We are continually striving to improve standards in order that our students have every opportunity to achieve and exceed their potential. The excellent support and guidance continues throughout Years 12 and 13 and each member of our sixth form is given the help they need to assist with the move onto the next steps in their lives, be it university, employment or training. Our applications to university continue to increase and all of those who applied gained a place at the university of their choice.

The majority of students that join us in Year 7 stay on to our sixth form but we warmly welcome students from other schools who always settle very well and comment on the ‘easy and welcoming’ transition into our sixth form.

We have an excellent pastoral care system for our sixth form that ensures our students are happy, nurtured and challenged to exceed their expectations. Ofsted reported that our sixth form students provided very good role models for younger students and our TKAT monitoring last year confirmed this continues to be a strength. Their contributions to the school, including the Year 7 mentor scheme, support with the lower school reading scheme and numerous fund raising activities all bring a vibrancy to our school community. Our students also benefit from a wide range of extra-curricular activities including visits abroad. In the past year there have been trips to Morocco, New York, Austria and Poland.

Our dedicated Sixth Form Study and Support Centre is well resourced and staffed by an experienced Study Supervisor. Our sixth formers are at the heart of our school. We look forward to welcoming you so you can see for yourself its unique and vibrant atmosphere.
