Key Stage 3


During KS3 students follow the Bromley Agreed Syllabus and the National Framework for R.E.  Students will be developing their knowledge, understanding, evaluation and key skills around the following themes:

  • Beliefs and concepts
  • Authority
  • Religion and Science
  • Spirituality
  • Ethics and Morality
  • Rights and Responsibilities
  • Global issues
  • Interfaith dialogue

During KS3 students will be ‘Learning About’ and ‘Learning From’ Religion.  This allows them to gain important knowledge but also develop their own opinions on issues in religion and ethics.  They will be covering all 6 main world faiths during their studies.

Units studied include:

  • What is spirituality?
  • The relationship between religion and science
  • What is religion?
