Key Stage 3


At Key Stage 3 students experience a broad and balanced curriculum appropriate to their ability and potential in mathematics. Students in Year’s 7 and 8 are taught using “Maths Connect” Textbooks. Subject areas covered by the National Curriculum include:

  1. Mathematical processes and applications
  2. Number
  3. Algebra
  4. Geometry and measures
  5. Statistics

Students in Year 9 start a 3 year GCSE maths programme – see KS4 for further details.

The curriculum and progression in each year is such that students are given a secure grounding in all aspects of mathematics.

10-4-10 Revision Materials:

These materials have been developed for use by pupils over the Easter Holiday period.  The target group is Level 4-5 borderline pupils.  The exercises are intended to be done every weekday of the holidays (10 days) with ten minutes spent on each set (hence the 10-4-10).
